CURE Counseling & Assessment Training Centre provides practical teaching and training of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families. Family counseling, seminars, groups and retreats are part of our psycho-educational approach to helping families learn and implement new principles that help bring more meaning to relationships in the family.

Blended-Family Retreats

Blended Family Retreats transpire when CURE Counseling works with several blended families at one time in a retreat setting. Preceding the retreat, the families will meet at the Counseling Centre on a set night for at least 2 sessions. Following the 2nd session, the families will join our CURE Team at "THE VERANDA," a Bed & Breakfast in Senoia, Georgia and will stay overnight on Friday and leave Saturday about 3 PM.

Family Retreats

Family Retreats transpire when CURE Counseling works with several families at one time in a retreat setting. The schedule is relaxed, families concerns will be addressed in a fun-filled educational way with an emphasis on relational, attitudinal and behavior change.

A follow-up session will come about 3 weeks later so all families can check in to see if they are working through the goals they set during their training sessions.

KiDZ ROCK

KiDZ / TEEN ROCK is an interactive experience where kids learn about character, social skills and manners all in one setting over a 8 week period. Kidz and placed in age appropriate groups and taught new skills to aid in the personal develop. Fun, games and prizes are a part of this interactive experience. The theme is 'friends learning together to develop totally warm character".

Character training is composed of teaching trust, respect, caring, confidence, fairness & citizenship. A Character Award is given to the child/teen who exhibits the best character during the whole KiDZ / TEEN ROCK Experience. Transitioning from one activity to another, learning to wait, learning to do what is asked, how to handle a situation when a friend says no, losing, teamwork, trying something new and how to accept criticism are key social skills taught along with key aspects of Character. Manners are taught and modeled according to age appropriate settings.

Marriage Retreats

CURE's Marriage Retreats are developed and custom designed for each couple or couples depending on the need of those attending. Usually, our marriage retreats are on the weekend and our comprised of specially selected skill sets and life skills that will be taught during the retreat.

Time is used wisely so that couples can have some "alone" time and their is an added effort to make sure that what is taught at the retreat will be implemented in the months ahead.

Pastor-Board Retreats address church challenges, relational challenges, new ways of understanding each board member and new skills sets on "how to better understand" each other. Emphasis is placed on learning each others strengths and finding ways to train leaders to focus on solutions rather than on problems.

Time is spent in relational settings and assessments are used to teach and train leaders how best to interact to aid congregations with the best possible spiritual team. Emphasis is placed on being proactive vs. that or being reactive.

Emphasis is placed on learning each others strengths and finding ways to train leaders to focus on solutions rather than on problems.

Pastor-Staff Retreats address church challenges, relational challenges, new ways of understanding each staff member and new skills sets on "how to better understand" each other. Emphasis is placed on learning each others strengths and finding ways to train leaders to focus on solutions rather than on problems.

A team approach is provided along with new communication skills, conflict management and resolution skills. Energy is expended to deepen relationships and find ways to utilize each other strengths in ways that develop a well balanced ministry team.
